My undergraduate dissertation analyses three works of art all made since 2020 (by artists younger than 40) which incorporate Scottish Gaelic in diverse and meaningful ways. They are Uamh an Òir (2021) by Mairi Gillies, Radical Gaels (2023) by Freya McLeod and Dàn Fianais (2021) by Andrew Black.

It was awarded Generator Project’s Dissertation Prize, and the first chapter on Gillies’ Uamh an Òir is being released as a RISO-printed publication later this year.
